These programs meet the highest standards for proven health programs for older adults. That’s great news because they have:

  • Been shown to improve health and well-being, or help prevent illness, injury, or disability in older adults.

  • Been carefully tested using scientific methods.

  • Worked well in different communities, not just one place.

  • Easy-to-use materials that are available to the public.

Mind Over Matter

  • Date: 06/22/2021 10:00 AM - 12:00 PM
  • Introduction: Healthy Bowels, Healthy Bladder

Free Workshop!

Did you know that more than half of women over age 50 experience issues with bladder or bowel control? These problems can be slightly bothersome or totally debilitating. For some women, the chance of embarrassment keeps them from enjoying many activities and can take control of their life.

Mind Over Matter: Healthy Bowels, Healthy Bladder is a workshop designed to give women, age 50 and older, the tools they need to take control of their bladder and bowel symptoms. The workshop provides information, group activities, and simple exercises and dietary changes to practice at home.

Mind Over Matter consists of three, 2-hour sessions that will take place virtually via Webex (similar to Zoom) on May 25, June 8 and June 22 from 10 a.m. to Noon.  Participants need to have internet and a device to access the virtual session.  To learn more or to register for the workshop, call the Aging & Disability Resource Center of Chippewa County at 715-726-7777.  You can also register online at www.co.chippewa.wi.us/government/healthy-living

And just in case it matters to you…the workshop leader is a woman over 50 who can relate!  The workshop is limited to 10 women so don’t wait to sign up.
