To serve the ever-increasing expectations of our customers and other units of government in the most courteous, efficient and effective manner possible, and to maintain accurate records while upholding the fiduciary and statutory responsibilities required of the office.

Office Duties

The Treasurer’s Office is responsible for:  receiving and depositing all monies from the public and from other departments; the disbursement of all county funds; balancing county checking account; the collection of all postponed and delinquent real estate taxes; making tax settlements to taxing districts; federal and state tax payments; monthly and quarterly reports/payments to the state; maintaining lottery credit file; property listing; producing assessment and tax rolls; printing tax bills; tax deed; investments; unclaimed funds; answering many questions concerning property values, legal descriptions and tax information.
