Front-end Intervention Treatment (FIT) Program

  • FIT is a 6-24 month diversion program specifically designed for non-violent offenders for whom substance abuse is a contributing factor in their criminal activity.
  • Allows for diversion of criminal charges while receiving treatment and services.
  • The services provided in FIT will be directly linked to the assessed risk level of the offender.
  • Case Management, drug and alcohol testing, and treatment plan goals are dependent on risk level, needs, performance, and compliance.

First Time Offender Program (FTO) Diversion Program

  • Referrals are received directly by Law Enforcement or the District Attorney's office.
  • Participants pay a fee to attend the program.
  • They attend a two-hour education session regarding ramifications of citations/criminal violations and thought process leading to violations.
  • Successful participants avoid citation or criminal charges and the offense remains off Wisconsin Circuit Court Access. 
  • If restitution is required this is paid first.

Chippewa County Recovery Court

The Chippewa County Recovery Court Program is a court that is specifically designated and staffed to handle cases involving drug offenders through an intensive, judicially monitored program of alcohol and drug treatment, rehabilitation services, and strict community supervision.
