Criminal Justice Collaborating Council
CJCC
Chippewa County Criminal Justice Collaborating Council (CJCC) was established in 2012. The CJCC provides opportunities for individuals within the criminal justice system to improve quality of life through facilitating recovery and community integration using evidence-based innovative programs. It is made up of stakeholders in the criminal justice system and community members.The CJCC provides the opportunity for the system to work together to become more effective and efficient. The objective is to decrease costs, reduce recidivism, decrease repetition throughout the system, and help create alternatives to incarceration for lower risk offenders. The CJCC meets the fourth Tuesday of the month in March, May, August, and November.
The Evidence Based Decision Making (EBDM) Policy Team is a sub workgroup of the CJCC. In support of the CJCC mission, the EBDM team uses research and data to implement evidence-based practices throughout the criminal justice system. The EBDM team meets on the second and fourth Mondays of the month.
