Chippewa County Public Health is looking for students in grades 9-12 to share their voice to help shape public health policy. Youth Advisory Council members will:

  • Advocate for their community in an inclusive, safe space
  • Collaborate and learn from peers across the county
  • Gain experience in a professional setting
  • Meet other youth from the county
  • Gain leadership skills
  • Earn volunteer hours

Time commitment is anticipated to be about one hour per month through virtual platforms. Potential topics that will be covered are:

  • Alcohol and drug prevention programming
  • Youth mental health
  • Social media safety
  • Health equity
  • Health & well-being
