What is an Elder Benefits Specialist (EBS)?
The EBS Program is a federal and state mandated advocacy program designed to provide assistance to older adults (age 60 or better). This includes education on public and private benefits, screening to determine what benefits they are entitled to (see our Benefit Check Up sheet), helping seniors secure benefits through the application process, and advocating to resolve problems with benefits/denials through an appeal process.
