Location of Event: STH 29 and 40th St Town of Wheaton

Persons Involved:  Vehicle #1: 2015 Buick, Enclave, Operator  Merle Harberts age 79 of Chippewa Falls--- Vehicle #2:  2000 Chev, 1500, Operator Kurt Jones age 45 of Chippewa Falls. Passenger Vehicle #2 Jessi Jones age 39
Agencies Involved: Chippewa County Sheriff’s Office, Chippewa Fire District fire and ambulance. Chippewa Falls fire Ambulance.

Details of Event: On the above date and time Vehicle #1 was E/B on STH 29 west of 40th St. Vehicle #2 was S/B on 40th St attempting to cross STH 29.Vehicle #2 failed to yield to Vehicle #1 and was struck broad side in the E/B lane. All occupants were transported to area hospitals extent of injuries was not know. Traffic was restricted to one lane for approximately a hour during the incident. Crash is still under investigations.
